  • Actively participate in standing calls with partners/borrowers for each investment/position
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for key asset management decisions (loss mitigation approvals and negotiations, foreclosures, REO repair and disposition)
  • Drive and coordinate internal operations processes (database and infrastructure management, cash reconciliation, monthly portfolio valuations, data drift and ad-hoc analytics)
  • Drive quarterly firmwide processes - Valuation Committee, Portfolio Review, etc. (senior asset management and deal team members to review and approve valuations/materials)
  • Assist with setting up key asset management processes at the front end of new investments/originations

What We Value

  • Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented candidates
  • Strong finance and modeling skills, ideally within the residential whole loan space
  • Deep knowledge of residential whole loans and securitized debt
  • Commercial and results orientation
  • Team orientation and influencing skills
  • High trust and integrity
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong combination of organizational and interpersonal/communication skills

Preferred

  • At least 5 years of proven experience originating/investing in and/or asset managing residential whole loans
  • Strong knowledge of residential mortgages, securitized debt, industry and macroeconomic conditions, as well as key drivers and fundamentals in residential mortgages
  • Ability to perform analysis, frame-up complex scenarios and provide clear and substantive recommendations
  • Strong technical skills with experience in database management and big data analytics using languages such as SQL or Python
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with Tableau and Intex experience as a plus
  • Outstanding initiative and comfort being a self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a high-volume environment
  • Strong sense of urgency; ability to execute quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Structured problem solver who is able to synthesize complex information from a variety of sources into implementable recommendations and solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
  • Strong prioritization and project management skills
  • Comfort working in a high growth, iterative environment
