Job description

The Commercial Loan Processing Specialist I is responsible for the preparation and accurate completion of commercial loan documents prior to loan closing. Providing support to the lending staff by assisting in the collection of customer financial documents, building initial credit presentations and obtaining pre-closing documentation. In addition, obtains the necessary information and requirements for preparing the loan documents, assembles and verifies the accuracy of loan documentation, ensures the loan requests meet all compliance and legal guidelines to ensure timely closing, and checks documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates and signatures.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:15am-5pm

38-40 hours/week

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create credit presentations utilizing nCino, core, and information provided
  • Assist in managing a pipeline of loan requests ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Enter data into ServiceLink obtain flood certificate and follow compliance
  • Order appraisals, including entering information into Ascribe, or requesting from internal appraiser.
  • Order environmental reports and title following policy requirements
  • Complete internal forms to aid in lending compliance and moving loans through the commercial pipeline
  • Pull tax bills from county websites
  • Work with the lending officer to ensure that we have all the proper documentation needed to complete the file based on the product and the approval
  • Prepare all commercial loan documentation, utilizing our LOS systems โ€“ nCino and Laser Pro
  • Ensures appropriate approval and/or waivers and exceptions are obtained prior to closing
  • Quality control of origination documentation
  • Confirms closing statements and bank settlement statements are in balance with lender fees
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of Commercial Processing or Commercial Documentation experience
  • 1+ years working with LaserPro
  • Experience with ordering Title, Appraisals, and Environments reports
  • Must be self-motivated and also work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills for effective interactions with lenders to meet lending objectives and/or resolve problems
  • Regular, dependable attendance and flexibility in schedule when required
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize workflow
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT Act) and the requirements of the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Additionally, all employees must follow policies and procedures to minimize risk by exercising good judgment, raising questions to management, and adhering to policy guidelines.
