Job description

Bilingual Medical Assistant

Westchester, Illinois

We are currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Medical Assistant to join our growing Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology practice.

We will also consider the following professionals with Phlebotomy Certification, with the understanding that you will be cross-trained in all aspects of the role:

  • Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Phlebotomy Technician - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Our ideal candidate is reliable, honest, outgoing, friendly, professional, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential.


Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish (Required) Phlebotomy certification (Required)
  • Must work set clinic hours (Saturdays Mandatory / required)
  • Excellent attendance and dependability
  • Must live within 15–20 minutes or within a 10–15 mile radius of the clinic
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care under physician supervision
  • Room patients, obtain vitals, and update information in EHR
  • Administer immunotherapy and biologic injections
  • Perform blood draws, allergy testing, and other lab testing
  • Send prescribed medications
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Perform additional medical duties as assigned
  • Front desk duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments


Qualifications


We are seeking a candidate with previous medical office experience, strong computer and multitasking skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities to build rapport with patients. The ideal applicant must be bilingual in Spanish and possess a current phlebotomy certification;

these qualifications are required.
