Paramount Panels serves the aerospace industry in the manufacturing of integrally illuminated panels. We manufacture to rigid military and commercial standards. Our business philosophy stresses quick, professional response to customer needs, through a system of defined process controls that assure a finished product that meets or exceeds the requirements. This alliance makes Paramount a leader in the illuminated panel business. Our company is an Aerospace parts manufacturer of highly visibly aircraft parts and our finishing needs to be to the exact specifications of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have electrical/mechanical engineering background with some optics engineering. They will be responsible for designing and implementing engineering contract review design, electrical components into multilayer PCB’s using SolidWorks and AutoCAD and PCB design software. They will interact with the production floor for production engineering. They should be able to make quality assurance checks in order to keep the product standard high.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with specifications required for panel manufacturing such as MIL-DTL-7788, Integrally Illuminated Panels and SAE-AS-3009, Aircraft Lighting, NVIS.
  • Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
  • Test panel lighting luminance and chromaticity.
  • Learn to operate spot meters and spectral radiometers.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues encountered during fabrication and assembly.
  • Correspond with customers to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Job review
    • Review new purchase orders and evaluate job requirements. Make sure we can produce and manufacture the product and that the product will meet the customers’ requirements.
    • Determine if any of the product manufacturing processes will require outsourcing/special processing. Determine the vendor to use for outsourcing/special processing.
    • Generate a planning document that will define how Paramount Panels will process the job.
  • Evaluate electrical products and systems to meet customer specifications
  • Test finished products and system capabilities
  • Will be trained on our specific equipment
  • Work with our lead Engineer on projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks software
  • Computer efficient
  • Strong problem solving, technical and math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
