Job Description Summary
The Art Department at Chapman University is seeking a dedicated and organized Student Worker to serve as a Generalist, providing a variety of administrative and operational support. In this role, the student worker will assist with daily tasks including ordering supplies, processing expenses, tracking speaker and model contracts, event coordination, and file management. Additionally, the student worker will be responsible for conducting prospective student tours using a Calendly appointment system. This is a part-time position, requiring 10 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Art Department's Administrative Assistant with day-to-day office tasks, including answering phones, managing emails, and filing documents.
  • Event Support: Provide logistical support for department events, such as set up, organizing materials, and assisting during the event.
  • Expense Processing: Help with tracking and processing department expenses and reimbursements.
  • Ordering Supplies: Manage supply orders for the department, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of necessary materials.
  • File Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical files for department records.
  • Prospective Student Tours: Conduct tours for prospective art students using a pre-scheduled Calendly system, providing information about the department, facilities, and programs.
  • Other Duties: Perform other administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth department operations.
