Assistant Accounting Manager
Role Summary
The Assistant Accounting Manger role is responsible for year end financial reporting encompassing the preparation and review of financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP. This role encompasses the supervision of the team, provision of training and ongoing support to members of the team. The candidate for this position must have excellent attention to detail, strong technical knowledge and developing management skills.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
• Supervising, assisting and reviewing where required in the preparation of the year end financial statements for the portfolio of clients including US companies, partnerships, LLCs and sole traders.
• Responsible for ensuring the team provides timely information and liaising with management and other departments to ensure both UK and US tax deadlines are met.
• Training and supervision of staff.
• Training and supervisions of bookkeeping staff and review of their output for quarter end or ad hoc reporting.
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Licensed CPA
• 3+ years of professional Accounting experience
• Audit experience preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP and experience of tax compliance
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage people
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, organized and self-motivated
• Commercial awareness and the desire to understand the businesses within the client portfolio
Additional Preferred Qualities
