Robert Brogden's Olathe Buick GMC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Assistant Office Manager to support the daily accounting operations of our growing dealership. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while assisting the Office Manager with departmental leadership and reporting responsibilities. Monday - Friday position. Flexible hours with the option of half day Fridays. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight of daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Review and reconcile dealership schedules and monthly financial statements.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor vehicle inventory accounting and flooring reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and analyses for management.
  • Train, mentor, and support accounting staff.
  • Work closely with sales, service, and management teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience required. 
  • Knowledge of dealership accounting processes, including inventory, warranty, and title work.
  • Experience with dealership management systems (Reynolds & Reynolds preferred). 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
