Job description

Location – Southwestern Washington

Position – Business Development Account Manager

Base salary - $75,000 - $130,000 DOE

Position Summary

The Business Development Account Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing client relationships that generate new business opportunities for Apollo Solutions Group. This position focuses on consultative selling, strategic account management, market development, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions that meet client objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proven relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience selling professional services, energy solutions, construction-related services, or other complex B2B solutions.

Key Responsibilities Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, municipal, education, healthcare, and public-sector markets.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Generate qualified leads through networking, prospecting, referrals, industry events, and market research.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Account Management
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to existing clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and ensure satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities through all stages of the sales process.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution reviews.
Proposal & Project Development
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and executive teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Support project handoff activities to ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution.
Market Strategy
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and market conditions.
  • Represent Apollo Solutions Group at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Provide market feedback and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and achieve revenue goals.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
Preferred
  • Experience in energy services, renewables, Mechanical/Electrical contracting, infrastructure, sustainability, facilities management, engineering, or construction-related industries.
  • Experience with public-sector procurement and RFP processes.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency, solar, or facility improvement projects.
