Job description


WSP is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week), Roadside Assistance Driver in Aurora, CO.
The Roadside Assistance (RA) Driver is responsible for actively patrolling and managing assigned areas of the E-470 roadway system to support the safety, mobility, and overall experience of the traveling public. This is a 24/7 operational role requiring flexibility and accountability.
Schedule: Thursday - Monday 9:45pm - 6:15am; Off Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Additional hours may be available to cover days off, vacations, business need, etc.
  • May be reassigned on a long term or temporary basis to another location, other shifts, or other schedules, to balance manpower or meet the needs of the company.

Expected hourly rate is: $24.29 per hour
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor roadway conditions and respond to incidents
  • Provide roadside support and traffic control
  • Coordinate with emergency responders
  • Perform roadway maintenance and debris removal
  • Deliver high-quality customer service
  • Maintain documentation and follow safety procedures

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be at least 21 years old for vehicle operation
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Background screening, MVR and drug screening required for all candidates upon conditional offer of employment.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform roadway incident response and traffic management duties in active traffic environments
  • Operate a vehicle for extended periods
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, crouch, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
