Ce poste est chargé d’aider à coordonner et à diriger la charge de travail du service pour une efficacité et une productivité maximales, tout en effectuant des travaux de réparation de qualité ; conseiller le directeur du service et lui faire des recommandations concernant les compétences et les besoins en formation des techniciens.

Fonctions et responsabilités

  • Aider dans l’attribution des tâches et des zones de travail des employés du département du service en fonction de leurs compétences et de leurs connaissances
  • Aider à évaluer les demandes de réparation qui arrivent dans le département du service et participer aux réparations ; examiner les demandes de réparation pour en vérifier l’exactitude et l’exhaustivité
  • Diriger et aider à diagnostiquer les problèmes de machines des techniciens et des apprentis
  • Inspecter et réparer tous les outils spéciaux; recommander de nouveaux outils au besoin
  • Conseiller et informer le directeur du service concernant les plaintes des clients
  • Coordonner et planifier la formation interne des techniciens
  • Aider le directeur de service à coordonner et à organiser des réunions trimestrielles sur la sécurité
  • Prendre, s’il y a lieu, des dispositions et participer à la remise en état de l’équipement usagé et à l’installation du nouvel équipement
  • Peut faire l’approbation de livraison de l’équipement au client

Brandt is currently seeking a Field Foreman for our Brossard Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for assisting with coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality repair work; advise and make recommendations to the Service Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge
  • Assists in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the Service Department and may participate in repairs; may review repair orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices
  • Inspects and repairs all special tools; recommends new tooling as required
  • Advises Service Manager of all customer complaints
  • Coordinates and schedules in-house technician training
  • Assists the Service Manager with coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings
  • May arrange for and participate in re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment
  • May approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer
  • Opening and closing work orders, preparing work orders for warranty
  • May assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager
  • Other duties as assigned
