Who we are looking for
A Digital Asset Operations and Client Engagement Lead, Vice President, for State Street's recently launched Digital Assets Operations team who will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations of all digital asset capabilities as they go to market. This role is central to building the future digital infrastructure of financial markets, ensuring that all capabilities are executed with operational excellence. The Digital Assets Operations team as a whole is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of the operational model for digital assets capabilities within our Global Delivery teams as part of the delivering the enterprise strategy for State Street Digital. This is an exciting opportunity for an agile and dedicated manager looking to take on a leading role in building the future digital infrastructure of financial markets from the ground up.
You will report directly into the Head of Digital Asset Operations and work closely with our dedicated Digital teams in Product Development, IT, Business, Governance & Controls, Risk and Compliance plus our State Street Global Delivery and Sales teams to effectively service our Institutional client base. In addition, you will be involved in engaging with State Street Digital's external partners and vendors, from early in the product development cycle right through to testing, delivery, and operations of our new client services in approved jurisdictions.
This unique role requires experience with client engagement, operations management, traditional investment services business operations - particularly in the areas of custody, payments, trading, securities servicing and process, compliance and process documentation - as well as a broad understanding of next generation technologies, including distributed ledger technologies (Blockchain), digital custody, cryptocurrencies, wallet technology and tokenization. This role also requires experience with business transformation and change management to help grow nascent businesses.

What you will be responsible for
As a Digital Asset Operations and Client Engagement Lead, Vice President, you will:
  • Build and own the day-to-day digital operations across all value streams to deliver digital capabilities to our clients

  • Oversee and ensure that the operations team is fully prepared for each new product or service launch

  • Engage with prospective and current clients to support understanding and alignment of service delivery

  • Manage risks, resources, and stakeholder communications across the program

  • Provide regular communication and reporting updates to ensure full transparency and clarity

  • Collaborate effectively with Product, technology and other operational leaders throughout the organization

  • Partner closely with workstream leads to ensure readiness pre-launch

  • Effectively communicate complex operational processes and digital asset offerings to both prospective and current clients

  • Clearly communicate expectations and program needs to all stakeholders to ensure delivery

  • Ability to work online with globally distributed teams

  • Ability to escalate risks and decision points quickly to the appropriate stakeholders, whether that be functional leadership, digital leadership, and/or project leadership

  • Executing on a project as a critical stakeholder, including excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Extensive experience (personal or professional) with digital assets

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant experience in operations and client engagement for traditional and digital products for large institutions

  • Hands-on experience with digital assets and wallets / distributed ledger technology

  • Experience in change management in business transformation initiatives

  • Understanding of relevant enterprise financial technology solutions and related governance

  • Excellent presentation, communications, collaboration and influencing skills

  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders

  • Fluent in English - oral and written - is a must

  • Advanced degree(s) in digital (business or technical) - a nice to have

  • A can-do attitude coupled with a risk and operational excellence mindset

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $181,250 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
