Job description

We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team as an Entry Level HVAC Service Technician to self-perform repairs and maintenance to commercial HVAC equipment under directed supervision of an experienced technician. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the servicing, maintenance, operation and repair of commercial HVAC systems and all associated equipment.  
  • Assist senior team members and independently installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment as directed.  
  • Keep documented maintenance and/or service logs on all equipment; record, correct and report any/all faults, deficiencies and concerns.  
  • Diagnose a diverse set of service-related issues, obtain replacement parts and repair as needed.  
  • Perform all duties/assigned tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with Company policy and standards.  
  • Participate in company sponsored training opportunities to keep pace with safety regulations and the latest industry standards. 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial HVAC industry.
  • Degree or certificate from a qualified HVAC school preferred. 
  • High school diploma required.
  • EPA Certification mandatory, additional certifications and/or licenses strongly preferred.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including pneumatics, VFDs and controls.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly with on-the-job training. 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Ability to work specified weekends and be accessible to tenants and management after normal business hours.  
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic mobile devices to manage work orders and communicate with team.  
  • Ability to read blueprints and diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, on use of equipment and materials.  
  • Proficiency with MS Office; adaptable to technological changes.  
  • Knowledge of all OSHA and safety procedures. 
  • Eagerness to collaborate and share information with a variety of skilled trades professionals.  
  • Team player with strong customer service focus.  
  • Flexibility and the ability to adjust to changing work demands, priorities, shifts and routines.  
  • Ability to drive to and from assigned properties and locations to complete tasks.  
  • Professional, articulate, self-motivated and possesses a strong work ethic. 
  • Be courteous, respectful, and communicate clearly – always representing the Company in a professional, moral and ethical manner.
