The Business Excellence, Asset Management Lead & Content Librarianis responsible fordriving operational excellence acrossthird-partyvendor engagements while leadingthe enterprisemanagement, governance, and lifecycle of marketing, scientific, and medical content assets.
This role ensures that vendors deliver contractedoutcomes,costs are controlled and optimized, and content assets are compliant, reusable, and accessible throughbest-in-classDAM and content management practices. The position partners closely with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Procurement to ensure strong governance, regulatory adherence, andexecutionquality.

Key Responsibilities

Business Excellence & Vendor Management

  • Provide operational oversight of vendor engagementspost contractexecution

  • Review and govern SOWs to ensure alignment with MSAs, approved rate structures, and business objectives

  • Monitor vendor performance against KPIs/SLAs and manage issue escalation and remediation

  • Validate deliverables prior to invoice approval in partnership with Finance

  • Track and reportvendor relatedcost savings, spend efficiency, and optimization outcomes

  • Ensure proper engagement documentation, governance, and closeout

Enterprise Asset Management Strategy & Governance

  • Define and lead enterprise strategy for DAM, content libraries, claims automation, and modular content reuse

  • Establish andmaintainmetadata standards, taxonomies, naming conventions, and governance models

  • Ensure brand consistency and regulatory compliance across all managed assets

DAM System Administration & Operations

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for DAM platforms (e.g., Veeva, AEM)

  • Manage system configuration, folder structures, ingestion, versioning, and archiving

  • Partner with IT and vendors to support enhancements, integrations, and ongoing system performance

Content Lifecycle Management & Compliance

  • Oversee asset lifecycle from creation through retirement

  • Ensure MLR compliance, usage rights management, andaccurateversion control

  • Maintainaudit readydocumentation for regulatory and internal reviews

Content Librarianship & Curation

  • Build andmaintaincurated libraries of scientific literature, disease area resources, claims, and marketing materials

  • Ensure content accuracy, traceability, and accessibility for marketing, medical, and research teams

Collaboration, Training & Adoption

  • Partner crossfunctionally to streamline workflows and improve adoption

  • Develop training materials, SOPs, and best practices for DAM and content lifecycle management

  • Support global and local teams in consistent system usage

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Track DAM performance, content reuse, workflow efficiency, and vendor performance metrics

  • Identifyprocess gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Marketing Operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8-12+ years of experience inMarketing Operations, Business Excellence, Asset Management,VendorManagement,Content Operations, or related roles

  • Proven experience in digital asset management (DAM), content lifecycle management, and taxonomy/metadata development, preferably within pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries

  • Strongexpertisein:

  • Digital Asset Management platforms (e.g.,Veeva, AEM, or similar enterprise DAM solutions)

  • MLR processes and regulatory compliance environments

  • Content governance, version control, and usage rights management

  • Demonstrated experience in:

  • Vendor management and postaward operational governance

  • Drivingcost optimization and measurable savingsrelated to externalspend

  • Designing scalable workflows, standards, and governance models

  • Ability tooperateas asubject matter expert and strategic partneracross Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Procurement

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills

  • Experience supportingmodular content strategies and content reusestrongly preferred

  • This role is hybrid; candidate must be able to work hybrid in Nutley, NJ Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The annual base salary range for the Senior Manager, Business Excellence & Asset Management is from :$118,100-$155,000Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
