Job description

Assembly Associate:
The main purpose of PERI's Assembly Associate (AA) position is to fabricate PERI's product components following instructions and designs. The AA does this according to specifications and blueprints meeting set deadlines. In addition, it is the responsible for maintaining a Safety-First Culture.
What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by following safety and housekeeping processes and procedures
  • Meet productivity goals as communicated by Assembly Supervisor
  • Ability to work outside in all-weather condition
  • Prepare products for Assembly
  • Gather necessary material and tools to complete each project
  • Preparation of assembly templates/jigs for project
  • Follow instructions from Assembly Supervisor to ensure company procedures are adhered to for each system
  • Prepare and cut necessary timber products as required by drawing or direct by Assembly Supervisor
  • Notify Assembly Supervisor immediately of damaged equipment
  • Work with Assembly Supervisor to improve productivity measures
  • Complete all assigned job tasks within designated timeframe
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Assembly Supervisor or Logistics Manager

  • Carpentry and Math Skills: Carpentry experience, ability to read a tape measure, and the ability to perform basic math
  • Attention to Detail: Thoroughly reviews work for errors, follows instructions, proofreads, and maintains accurate records
  • Problem-solving Skills: Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems using critical and creative thinking
  • Tools Skills: Experience using small hand and power tools
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans and specifications, and allowing for accurate scheduling of assembly tasks
  • Organization: Coordinates tasks, tracks details, and ensures quality and understanding
  • Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on Training Ability: Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
  • Follows Instructions: Ability to follow instructions from Supervisors and Coordinators
