2nd Shift Assembly Team Lead
Location: Greenville, Michigan
Reports to: Assembly Supervisor
Composition Brands, renowned leaders in premium refrigeration and ice products, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Assembly Lead to support our growing manufacturing operations. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient assembly of high-quality products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards to meet our customers' expectations.
As a 2nd Shift Assembly Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality and excellence in product manufacturing. You will lead and collaborate with assembly line team members to ensure production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with precision. By providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the shift, you will help drive production goals, uphold quality standards, and foster a safe and productive work environment.

Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. General hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:30p.m. -1:00 a.m. plus overtime when required (Friday & Saturday if needed).
Position Overview:
Lead 2nd shift assembly team in their effort to meet and exceed customer expectations by managing Assembly production, safety, morale, quality, cost. Hours of work may be varied and unusual.
Responsibilities:
  • Consistently work towards increased efficiency of all areas of assembly
  • Execute full cross training program including job rotation ensuring all
  • positions have multiple operators
  • Update Production report on daily basis and submit to Production Manager
  • Support and actively work with other departments to ensure acceptable
  • quality levels
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes (Material, Method, Equipment)
  • Understand, train and actively support all procedures (SOP's, Work Instructions, Drawings)
  • Actively participate in and facilitate Continuous Improvement programs
  • Act as a role model of safe work practices by actively developing safe work practices and environment
  • Ensure all safety practices and procedure are enforced
  • Support the company's efforts to implement improvement programs
  • through gaining knowledge, and working with other departments,
  • managers and team leaders
  • Lead shift meetings to inform Team members of order and
  • company information
  • Work with Production Manager to manage unacceptable behaviors
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use and operate hand tools.
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for up to three hours without a break and twelve hours with breaks, lift weights of up to 35 pounds from ground level to chest height, push/pull up to 100 pounds and handle component parts on a repetitive basis.
  • Demonstrated hand-eye coordination necessary for repetitive assembly operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work shifts and hours mandated by management and
  • Ability to coordinate and lead team members to perform daily duties assigned by production manager
  • To pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
