Job description

Production Associate B

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

Assemble wiring and cable assembly products along with other products according to specifications given by customer and tends to machines used to accomplish job.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Production Associate B: $16.00ย 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.ย Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Production Associate B Responsibilities Include:ย 

  • Builds and fabricates wiring and cable assembly products or other mechanical assemblies according to specifications given by customer.ย 

  • Maintains a current certification on all general jobs skills assigned to the program and specific skills as required (ex. Soldering, testing equipment, etc.).

  • Reads job documents and specifications to determine material requirements and machine adjustments.

  • Loads and sets up machines for depending on process as specified on work order sheet.ย 

  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

  • Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Production Associate B Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:ย 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least six months experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and technical descriptions.

  • Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math calculations.

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.ย 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management; basic math skills; ability to assemble products to customer specifications.

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
