Description

Ridezilla is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Helper to support our growing Service Department in Albany, GA.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced position that supports daily dealership operations through shop assistance, unit movement, transport responsibilities, facility upkeep, and general operational support. We are looking for someone who is willing to jump in wherever needed and help keep the Service Department running efficiently.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working around Side by Sides, ATVs, motorcycles, and powersports equipment while staying active throughout the day.


Key Responsibilities

Shop & Service Department Support

  • Assist the Service Advisor and Shop Foreman with daily operational needs 
  • Support technicians with basic shop tasks and unit preparation 
  • Assist with powersports assembly and setup tasks as needed during high-volume periods 
  • Assemble and prep new units according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards 
  • Perform basic maintenance, inspections, and detailing on pre-owned units 
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and communicate findings to the service team 
  • Move, stage, and prepare units for customer pickup and delivery 
  • Support cross-department needs as business demands shift throughout the day 

Delivery & Unit Transport

  • Operate company trucks to transport Side by Sides, ATVs, motorcycles, and other powersports units 
  • Load, unload, secure, and move units safely using trailers and dealership equipment 
  • Assist with pickups, deliveries, and movement of units between departments 
  • Operate forklifts safely (training/certification provided if needed) 

Facility & Lot Maintenance

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Service Department, lot, and storage areas 
  • Empty trash, sweep floors, dispose of scrap materials, and maintain a clean work environment 
  • Keep tools, equipment, and workspaces properly organized 
  • Ensure proper and safe use of tools, equipment, and technology 
  • Follow all safety procedures and dealership guidelines 

Requirements


  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required 
  • Comfortable driving trucks and towing trailers preferred 
  • Ability to safely transport and move powersports units 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn 
  • Strong work ethic with willingness to assist wherever needed 
  • Comfortable working outdoors and performing physical tasks throughout the day 
  • Team-oriented attitude with strong reliability and accountability 
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and MVR check 
  • Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to obtain certification after hire)
