Job description

Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob Description

The Assembly Technician assembles and fits tubing, piping, valves, and other mechanical components in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. Working from blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications, this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, accurate measurement skills, and safe operation of hand and power tools. You will collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and precision. The position involves lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and working overtime or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit tubing, piping, valves, and other mechanical components according to blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine assembly requirements and component layout.
  • Accurately use tape measures, including fractional and decimal measurements, to ensure precise cutting, fitting, and alignment of parts.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, drill, fasten, and assemble mechanical components.
  • Perform mechanical assembly tasks such as pipe fitting and component installation in accordance with production standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high quality standards and meeting daily output goals.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete assemblies and resolve issues that may arise during production.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper handling of tools and materials, to maintain a safe work area.
  • Perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • Support cleanroom or controlled environment assembly processes when required, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to facility protocols.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment to support efficient production.
  • Participate in overtime and weekend work as needed to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Essential Skills
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform hands-on assembly and fitting of mechanical components.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and schematics for mechanical assembly and pipe fitting.
  • Strong measurement skills, including reading tape measures with fractional and decimal measurements.
  • Experience safely using a variety of hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, assembly, construction, automotive, or similar environment.
  • Capability to perform mechanical assembly tasks, including pipe fitting and general labor in a production setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds consistently and stand on your feet for the majority of the workday.
  • Comfort with performing repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and following work instructions and production specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in mechanical assembly, plumbing, construction, roofing, window tint, or related trades.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or temperature-controlled production environments.
  • General labor experience in manufacturing or production facilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
