Job Title: Aircraft Assembly Technician / Builder

Position Summary

Nokturnal AI is seeking a hands-on Aircraft Assembly Technician / Builder to support the production and integration of unmanned aircraft systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in building high-quality systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will assist in assembling aircraft structures, installing components, and ensuring build quality meets engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble unmanned aircraft systems and subcomponents according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform mechanical assembly including airframes, mounts, and structural components
  • Assist with installation of electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and avionics components
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
  • Conduct basic inspections and quality checks throughout the build process
  • Troubleshoot minor assembly issues and escalate complex problems to engineering or leadership
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support inventory tracking and material handling as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering, integration, and production teams to meet build timelines

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on assembly, mechanical, or fabrication experience (aerospace, automotive, robotics, or similar preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or instructions
  • Experience using hand tools, drills, fasteners, and measuring tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with drones, RC aircraft, or aerospace assembly
  • Familiarity with wiring, soldering, or basic electronics
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment

Pay and Benefits
