Fluid Power Technician

7:00 am - 3:30 pm Mon-Fri

Orono, MN

$22 - $24/hr DOE

The Fluid Power Technician contributes to assembly process by testing hydraulic manifolds per customer specifications and troubleshooting effectively.

Job Duties

  • Troubleshoots for solutions to issues arising from automated tests and manual tests. Recommends changes when appropriate. 
  • Work with employees in other departments, including Manufacturing Engineering Technicians for Assembly and Testing, to address issues in testing methods and procedures. 
  •  Trains new and current employees to ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are understood and followed.
  • Tests using Automated Hydraulic benches and manual applications and inspects products following specifications and requirements 
  • Reads and deciphers hydraulic schematics. 
  • Uses company intranet and business software to gather and record information per work instruction.
  • Maintains company and/or management reports, such as Test Bench PM’s and Test Bench Validations.
  •  Prepares manifolds for assembly, stages jobs, and moves assemblies as needed.
  • Assembles products following specifications and requirements 

Job Qualifications:

  • Hydraulic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS degree; or Pneumatic Engineering Technician diploma or AAS degree; or Certified as a Fluid Power Specialist desired, or 1 to 2 years’ experience in previous position.
  • Basic computer skills
