Job description


The Assembly Operator is principally responsible to process the American Aerogel product through refurbishment process. This position insures the quality of the product through each step using self-monitoring and observation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and maintain high quality throughout all phases of assembly.
  • Assist other team members as necessary in order to maintain line flow.
  • Cross Train between assembly lines and or work stations.
  • Assist in training others as needed.
  • Participate in driving improvements by offering suggestions to eliminate waste from work areas.
  • Follow all necessary Quality System procedures and work instructions.
  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures.
  • Reject non-conforming parts on a daily basis with clear description of non-conformity.
  • Accountable for work flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness of area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Flexible for all shifts; willing to work OT and weekends when needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Curiosity and interest in learning
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be extremely trust worthy, flexible, and dependable with a good attendance history
  • Self-Motivated and able to perform with little direction
  • Team-Player- must possess a “can do” attitude and must be able to work with others.
  • Proficient English Written and verbal, Good

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, candidate will be required to sit and walk around; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls (some repetitive motion); and talk or hear. Also, occasionally will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
