Job description

Description

An Assembler is responsible for assembling component parts according to established blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. This role ensures the correct quantities of parts are used, completed items meet quality standards, and finished products are structurally sound. Assemblers use hand tools and mechanical equipment, manage parts inventory related to their work, and maintain an organized and safe workspace.


Key Responsibilities:

While daily tasks may vary based on the manufacturing area, Assemblers are expected to work accurately, efficiently, and as part of   a team. Key responsibilities include:

  Read and follow technical instructions, engineering drawings, and blueprints
Assemble parts and components using hand tools and mechanical equipment
Inspect parts and finished products to ensure quality and identify defects
Verify correct quantities of parts during the assembly process
Track and manage parts and tools used in production
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
Keep work areas clean, organized, and well maintained
Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments

Requirements

  High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints
Experience using handheld tools
Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Ability to lift materials and operate electrical and pneumatic equipment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
Ability to safely operate tools and equipment in accordance with company safety standards
Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a repetitive production environment
Regular and reliable attendance is required
