Power Connector's Production Assembler is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our manufacturing processes by executing on our internal manufacturing and quality processes and procedures and contributing to continuous improvement and optimization efforts. This position's primary focus is to assist, contribute, and execute on the team's strategic plans for manufacturing stability and improvement.
Power Connector's Production Assembler is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with manufacturing skills suited for individual and team contribution. This position is an integral part in sustaining and improving our manufacturing for expansion within our current industry and penetration into new industries. This position enjoys the inherent challenges of executing on manufacturing systems and processes in a diverse, dynamic, and growing organization. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the assembly of raw materials
  • Responsible for the breaking down of raw materials as needed for each product
  • Responsible for the organization of necessary components to build product
  • Responsible for assembly of product in accordance with daily, weekly, and monthly shipment lists as directed by supervisor.
  • Capable of manipulating items with weights less than or equal to 30 pounds
  • Perform general housekeeping in order to maintain an extremely clean and safe environment
  • Responsible for the safe use of tools that are required during assembly
  • Upholding quality standards while meeting production quotas
  • Contributes to a safe, accident-free, working environment by abiding by all safety procedures and policies as defined by the Company and OSHA regulations

  • Proficient in executing quality control inspection responsibilities:
    • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications

    • Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required
    • Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples
    • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded
    • Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status
    • Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
    • Perform visual inspections of finished products
    • Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems
    • Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
    • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
    • Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment
    • Grade, classify, or sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • 1-10 years of previous manufacturing experience

Knowledge
  • Proficient in using standard assembly tools, such as screwdrivers, drills, and levers
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, manuals, etc.
  • Additional qualifications for Assembler Level V:
    • Proficient in using inspection equipment, such as calipers and micrometers
    • Proficient in MS Office

Skills
  • Ability to work well independently and part of a team
  • Ability to motivate team members in a creative and effective manner
  • Ability to work effectively under stressful and dynamic environments
  • Additional qualifications for Assembler Level V:
    • Results-oriented with good analytical skills
