Who We Are?

Aspire Communications is a startup, turn-key technology integration company based in Orlando, Florida. Formed in September of 2019, Aspire has quickly grown into a 150+ person operation in less than five years and continues to rapidly expand.

Role Summary

A commercial technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Summit Broadband's cable television, internet, and telephone services for business customers. You will be employed by our company, Aspire Communications, working as a subcontractor for Summit Broadband. We're looking for a lead to step in and help lead our commercial team!

The specific job duties of a Summit Broadband Commercial cable technician may include:

Responsibilities:

Day-to-Day Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for communication with the summit management team.
  • Coordinate and assign tasks to internal technicians, ensuring effective job distribution and completion.

Project and Job Tracking:

  • Monitor and document project and job information, including tracking technicians' daily hours.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project status and job completion

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Act as the main point of contact for internal technicians, providing troubleshooting support and resolving technical issues.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of cable television, internet, and telephone equipment at customer locations.

Cable System Maintenance:

  • Perform cable splicing, termination, and system testing to verify performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair any issues with the cable system to ensure optimal performance.

Customer Support:

  • Provide technical support to customers experiencing service issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Inventory and Supply Management:

  • Maintain inventory of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Order supplies as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Training and Guidance:

  • Provide training and guidance to technicians and staff, fostering skills development and adherence to best practices.

Technology and Field Updates:

  • Stay informed about new technologies and industry developments.
  • Implement necessary upgrades or changes to improve the cable system and service delivery.

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequently travel to the Lakeland and Tampa areas for installations and support.

To be successful in this role, a Summit Broadband Commercial cable technician should have strong technical skills and the ability to work with a variety of equipment and tools. They should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills are also important, as the technician may need to work with customers and other team members to resolve issues.
