Purpose Summary:
As an Asphalt Paving Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction materials, including loading and unloading of asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
  • Surface Cleaning: Ensure the work area is clean and free of debris before paving operations, which may involve using shovels, brooms, or other tools.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools and equipment such as rakes, shovels, and tampers to distribute and compact asphalt materials.
  • Assisting Crew Members: Work closely with the paving crew to facilitate a smooth workflow, including helping with the layout and alignment of pavement.
