Purpose Summary:
As an Asphalt Paving Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of roadways, parking lots, and other paved surfaces. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the asphalt paving crew in various tasks to ensure the successful completion of projects. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
  • Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction materials, including loading and unloading of asphalt, gravel, and other materials.
  • Surface Cleaning: Ensure the work area is clean and free of debris before paving operations, which may involve using shovels, brooms, or other tools.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools and equipment such as rakes, shovels, and tampers to distribute and compact asphalt materials.
  • Assisting Crew Members: Work closely with the paving crew to facilitate a smooth workflow, including helping with the layout and alignment of pavement.
