Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description

The Project Manager supports the management of construction materials testing and engineering projects from initiation through completion. This role coordinates project activities, communicates with clients and contractors, tracks budgets and schedules, assists with proposals and reports, and ensures that project deliverables meet established quality standards. The individual works closely with senior Project Managers to monitor project progress, support business operations, and develop the technical and leadership skills required to grow into a full Project Manager and eventually senior Project Manager role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with managing construction materials testing and engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Manage project schedules and staffing assignments to ensure appropriate field and laboratory coverage.
  • Track deadlines, deliverables, and project milestones, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with field technicians and laboratory teams to support testing, inspections, and reporting.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet industry standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Review and interpret technical data and engineering reports related to geotechnical investigations and construction materials testing.
  • Support change order management, including documentation and schedule adjustments.
  • Assist with construction materials testing coordination for commercial construction projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and performance, including labor, expenses, and overall project profitability.
  • Track and report on financial metrics, and assist with invoicing and contract administration.
  • Support financial reporting activities by providing accurate project cost and performance data.
  • Prepare and assist with project proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
  • Support business development efforts by participating in networking activities and helping to develop strategies to grow existing accounts and secure new business.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and project procurement efforts under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Contribute to project scheduling, including sequencing of work and coordination with contractors and clients.
  • Participate in the preparation of technical reports, summaries, and client communications.
  • Maintain strong, professional communication with engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients to support project success and client satisfaction.
  • Engage in hands-on learning and mentorship activities to develop technical, operational, and client-facing skills.
  • Support a collaborative team environment by sharing information, assisting colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $65000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
