Summary

Responsible for working with the Paver Operator to regulate the flow of asphalt material to ensure uniform distribution and desired thickness.  Additional responsibilities include layout, calculating and checking asphalt yield, set up/tear down of screed automation, operation of screed automation, and raking/shoveling all in a safe, efficient and proper manner to achieve a quality finished product.

Qualifications

  • Prior paving and screed experience preferred (not required).
  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent
  • Good math skills
  • Safety-first and high-quality mindset
  • Reliable transportation
  • Clean driving record and ability to obtain a CDL is preferred (not required).
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends as needed, and unexpected longer hours when necessary.
  • Positive attitude and team player
