Location: Savannah Area
Company: C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc.
C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our asphalt production plant in the Savannah area. This role is responsible for supervising plant personnel, ensuring safe and efficient production, coordinating maintenance, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coach, and lead plant personnel.
  • Enforce company safety policies and MSHA compliance.
  • Manage daily plant operations and workforce assignments.
  • Monitor asphalt production quality and plant performance.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Maintain inventory levels and control operating costs.
  • Identify and correct hazardous conditions.
  • Complete required reports and documentation.
  • Communicate issues to the Superintendent.
  • Operate heavy equipment when required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of asphalt plant operations experience.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment, materials, and maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
Work Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
