Sensory Motor/Cognitive Coach:

Brain Balance Achievement Centers seeks a dynamic, motivated individual to guide specific reading and math skills to school-aged children with learning disabilities, assist children through various activities that will stimulate a specific hemisphere of the brain, and support families as they participate in the program. Experience with coaching or teaching children with special needs is a plus to lead and drive each student in our Sensory Motor and cognitive rooms. Our unique Brain Balance program deals directly with children who have disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Aspergerโ€™s, Dyslexia and Processing Disorders. This is an ideal and rewarding position for those who enjoy working with children and watching children succeed in the classroom, on the playground, and at home.

Requirements, Skills and Experience:

ยท Minimum of 1 year experience working or teaching with school-aged children

ยท 4 year degree or currently seeking a 4 year degree highly preferred.

Hours of operation are 9:30-7:30 pm M-Th, some Friday mornings in the summer and 10:00-8:00 pm M-F, during the school year, some Saturday mornings. This is an ideal job for those who enjoy working with children and are looking for a flexible schedule; 20-25 hours weekly.

We are a holistic, non medical program that helps children ages 4-18 who are struggling with academic, social and behavioral challenges. Some children have a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia and other neurodevelopmental disorders. We get to the root cause of the issues through our comprehensive assessment and programming, creating an individual plan for each child.
