JOB SUMMARY:
Performs clinical evaluation(s) to create and implement treatment programs for a
variety of patients with varying diagnoses. Therapy programs focus on swallowing,
feeding, speech language and cognitive linguistic skills to increase function in daily life.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education (or equivalent years of experience):
Required for consideration: Masters or Doctorate Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
B. Experience (or equivalent education):
No experience required for Hospital Setting. One year of related experience required for Home Health Setting.
C. Licensure
Required for consideration:
• Speech-Language Pathology from State of Florida
• Provisional License for new hires with no experience
D. Certifications
• Required for consideration: Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year from ASHA.
• Required for consideration: BLS card from American Heart Association or American RedCross (These are the only two providers that will be accepted.)
