What You'll Do:

We have an opportunity for a TacMobile PGS System Administrator with in-depth knowledge of U.S. Navy TacMobile P-8A I3B2 Ground Station (PGS) equipment, systems, and emerging technologies supporting the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter capable of providing advanced IT and systems administration support to U.S. Navy operations in both classified and unclassified network environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a System Administrator supporting TacMobile IT and PGS systems, ensuring high system availability and reliability.
  • Provide system and network maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support with minimal supervision.
  • Administer and secure classified and unclassified networks, ensuring compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
  • Configure and manage systems including VMware, SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, VoIP, CROWBAR, Adder, and SharePoint.
  • Support Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) and Communications Security (COMSEC) activities.
  • Apply technical expertise to implement, maintain, and train users on evolving Navy IT systems.
  • Collaborate with shore TOCRON and deployed TOC commands to sustain mission readiness.
  • Contribute to training product development and serve as an instructor for system operations.
  • This position will require up to 25% annual travel, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:


Required Qualifications: ย ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; 10+ years of IT experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's.ย 
  • 8+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years directly supporting TacMobile IT networks/systems and 3+ years supporting PGS systems.
  • Strong expertise in computer security, system administration, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience in classified environments supporting DoD or U.S. Navy IT systems.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II compliance, required (e.g., Security+ CE and an OS certification, e.g., Linux or Windows). Please upload a copy of your certification(s).ย 

Preferred Qualifications: ย ย 

  • Familiarity with the DoD Information Assurance (IA) accreditation process.
  • Experience developing and delivering IT training and documentation.
