Job description

Project Manager – Disaster Restoration

When someone’s home floods at 2:00 a.m., you are the person who makes it right.

PURE Restoration is a full-spectrum disaster restoration and reconstruction company serving homeowners, property managers, commercial clients, and the insurance industry across Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and Spruce Grove. Fire, flood, wind, mould, asbestos, biohazard—we respond 24/7, and we stay until the property is back to pre-loss condition or better.

At PURE Restoration, our success is built on four core values:

· Respect – We treat our clients, teammates, partners, and communities with professionalism, empathy, and care.

· Teamwork – We work together, support one another, and recognize that the best outcomes are achieved through collaboration.

· Integrity – We communicate honestly, do the right thing even when it’s difficult, and stand behind our commitments.

· Accountability – We take ownership of our work, our decisions, and the results we deliver every day.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who naturally lives these values while leading restoration projects from first notice of loss through final completion.

This is not a coordinating role. You will scope the loss, build the estimate, run the trades, manage the adjuster, and hand the keys back to a client who is genuinely relieved.

---

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Files from first notice of loss to final sign-off.

· Assess the damage on site, scope the work, and build the restoration plan, including sequencing, scheduling, resources, and critical path.

· Lead projects with respect, ensuring clients, trades, and teammates feel informed, supported, and valued throughout every stage of the restoration process.

· Run the day: coordinate internal crews, subtrades, vendors, and equipment. Solve problems before they become delays.

· Own the financial performance of your projects. Build Xactimate estimates, manage budgets, defend supplements, and protect project margins.

· Be the trusted voice for clients and adjusters by communicating proactively, honestly, and with integrity, especially when conversations are difficult.

· Set and enforce the highest safety standards on every project. You have unconditional authority to stop unsafe work.

· Foster teamwork by developing strong relationships with coordinators, technicians, site leads, subtrades, and support departments to achieve exceptional outcomes.

· Demonstrate accountability by taking ownership of project timelines, quality, budgets, client satisfaction, and final results.

---

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE

Timeframe Milestone

First 30 days You understand our systems, our people, our subtrades, our culture, and our safety program. You are actively managing live files while demonstrating PURE’s values in every interaction.

By 90 days You are independently managing a full portfolio with clean documentation, strong communication, collaborative relationships, and no margin surprises.

By 12 months Your projects consistently finish on schedule, achieve target margins, clients recommend you, adjusters request you by name, and you are recognized as a leader who models Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, and Accountability.

---

WHAT YOU BRING

· 5+ years managing restoration or remediation construction projects from start to finish. Full-scope restoration experience is strongly preferred, though we will consider equivalent backgrounds.

· Experience with insurance-funded work, including scoping, estimating, supplementing, and working directly with adjusters.

· Proficiency in Xactimate and working knowledge of PSA, Encircle, DocuSketch, or comparable software.

· Strong understanding of restoration practices, building assemblies, and identifying hidden damage.

· Solid knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation, asbestos and mould protocols, and containment practices.

· The ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional with clients experiencing one of the most stressful situations of their lives.

· A leadership style built on respect, integrity, teamwork, and accountability.

· Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.

· Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Have

· IICRC Certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT), or willingness to obtain them.

· Large-loss or catastrophe response experience.

· Established relationships with Edmonton-area adjusters, property managers, or restoration subtrades.

· Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.

---

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Base Salary $85,000–$120,000 based on experience (higher compensation may be considered for exceptional candidates).

Performance Pay Bonus and commission opportunities tied to project margin and client satisfaction.

Vehicle Company vehicle and fuel card.

Benefits Comprehensive health and dental benefits following the probationary period.

Tools Company phone, laptop, and industry-leading software.

Growth Ongoing professional development, certification support, and a defined path toward Senior Project Manager and Operations leadership.

Purpose Every project gives you the opportunity to help people rebuild their homes, businesses, and peace of mind.

---

WHY PURE RESTORATION?

At PURE Restoration, we believe technical expertise is only part of what makes an exceptional Project Manager. We hire people who genuinely care about others, lead by example, and believe that every successful restoration is built on Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, and Accountability.

If you’re looking for a career where your leadership makes a meaningful difference every day, we’d love to meet you.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply with your resume through the posting link.

Tell us about one restoration file you’re particularly proud of. What challenges did you encounter, what decisions did you make, and what was the outcome? Your answer matters more to us than your cover letter.

Shortlisted candidates will participate in a structured interview and reference checks. Employment offers are conditional upon successful completion of a background check and a satisfactory driver’s abstract.

PURE Restoration is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and will provide accommodation throughout the recruitment process upon request.
