Position Overview
The Tube Cap Applier is responsible for operating, assembling, and packing tubes and working as a member of the production team to maintain the facility safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality
  • Set up and operate the tube capper and supporting equipment according to product specifications and as scheduled by management in a timely manner
  • Perform all normal running adjustments to the equipment as required to produce the product to specification; record all changes
  • Responsible for feeding raw tubes to be capped to conveyor and assuring the caps are properly applied to the tube
  • Responsible to ensure that box counts are accurate, tape the box shut, apply correct product label, and place completed product on the pallet
  • Notify film/tube dept. material handlers when the finished product or unused materials are ready to be moved to the warehouse drop area
  • Relieve tube extruder operator as needed
  • Responsible for assisting with scheduled PM work to the tube capper machines
  • Ensure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported to the Shift Leader to be appropriately destroyed or placed on hold for the Quality Facilitator's review and decision
  • Complete all documentation accurately
  • Train new Assembly Operators and Probe Assemblers in the proper evaluation and packing of tubes.
