Job description

Network Engineer – Aruba (Part-Time, Milpitas, CA)

We are looking for a Network Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. In this role, you will act as an extended member of the customer team to support the account on a daily basis. Holds an intermediate background in networking and hardware – Aruba Controllers, Airwave servers, and ClearPass Servers.

This is a 6-month contract project (Extension Possible), 20 hours per week, on-site role in Milpitas, CA.

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine checks on the network to ensure it is up to standards.
  • Support HPE Employees with setting up Layer 1, physical connections.
  • Be able to update and modify documentation and processes.
  • Work with HPE Employees to resolve Connectivity issues in lab effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify potential issues and monitor/update the tasks.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience in a related field.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.
  • Wireless experience: Controllers and Access Points
  • Knowledge of hardware requirements for HPE Aruba product portfolio: Switching, Routing,
  • Wireless AP and IAP, Controllers, SD-WAN, HPE Aruba AirWave, Aruba ClearPass and, Aruba Meridian
  • Familiarity of networking (LAN-WAN-WLAN).
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
  • Basic business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, ownership, change management skills, team player and collaborates with product and support teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced multi-vendor environment involving quick
  • turnaround time.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
