  • Providing onsite network support for IT, users, customers and projects
  • Supporting VOIP phone connectivity issues
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving network outages
  • Assisting network equipment support and circuit maintenance
  • Creating network change notices and implementing network changes
  • Performing quarterly failover testing of network capabilities at all locations

Requirements
  • 2-4 years experience applying knowledge of networking principles to implement and maintain secure business networks
  • Thorough understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DOT1X, Firewall Policies, Class of Service, and Virtual Chassis
  • Experience with the following protocols:
    • Transparent Bridging 802.1D
    • Spanning Tree
    • Link Layer Discovery Protocol
    • Power Over Ethernet
    • 802.1Q Trunk
    • DOT1X
  • Experience with virtual switch stack technology
  • Firewall experience
  • Experience with creating VLANs
  • Experience configuring security zones and permissions
  • Experience with configuring interfaces for VOIP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to create technical documentation, including change notices
