Lead Creative Programs That Inspire

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Part-Time Fine Arts & Education Manager to lead music, visual arts, and performing arts programs.

This position provides an opportunity to develop engaging programs, mentor staff, create community partnerships, and help children and adults discover their talents in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 29 hours per week

Position Summary

The Fine Arts & Education Manager leads the Kroc Center's Fine Arts programs. This position develops engaging music, visual arts, performing arts programs that support The Salvation Army's mission and meet community needs.

The manager supervises staff and volunteers, coordinates curriculum and schedules, manages program resources, builds community partnerships, and maintains safe, welcoming program spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate Fine Arts programs.
  • Create class schedules, curriculum, program fees, performances, showcases, and special events.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff, instructors, and volunteers.
  • Maintain required staffing levels, training records, licensing standards, and Safe From Harm compliance.
  • Maintain positive communication with parents and guardians.
  • Build partnerships with schools, colleges, universities, arts organizations, instructors, and community groups.
  • Coordinate program marketing with the Membership, Marketing, and Development teams.
  • Maintain program records, budgets, inventory, equipment, supplies, and facility schedules.
  • Develop written procedures and use program assessments to support continuous improvement.
  • Teach lessons or direct performance groups when appropriate.
  • Support mission-focused programming, children's discipleship opportunities, and the 40 Developmental Assets model.
  • Attend required meetings, training, and events and complete other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in music, art, education, arts administration, youth development, ministry, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • At least three years of related program and management experience. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, budgeting, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within a part-time schedule.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet The Salvation Army's Fleet Safety requirements.
  • Ability to successfully complete Safe From Harm training.
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, or holidays as program needs require.
