Job description

The Director, Artificial Intelligence will lead the UPT division's AI-driven value creation agenda, using AI as a strategic business lever to drive measurable revenue growth, margin expansion, productivity gains, and compliance strength.
This is a business leadership role, not a technical specialist position. The role partners closely with commercial, operational, and functional leaders to identify, deploy, and scale AI initiatives that deliver tangible financial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver annual AI-driven EBITDA improvement targets.
  • Build and manage a prioritized AI value portfolio aligned to divisional strategy.
  • Build AI literacy and adoption across leadership and functional teams.
  • Identify AI-enabled growth opportunities across pricing, products, services, and installed base monetization across the Division.
  • Lead AI-enabled automation and process improvements across operations and SG&A.
  • Scale proven AI use cases across business units to drive sustained performance.
  • Ensure AI initiatives comply with enterprise governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Establish measurable adoption and accountability standards.
  • Manage external AI partners and vendors to accelerate time-to-value while minimizing risk.

Success Measures:
  • Sustained EBITDA contribution from AI initiatives.
  • Embedded AI-enabled workflows across commercial and operational functions.
  • Increased adoption and scalable, repeatable use cases.
  • Reduced operational friction and strengthened compliance discipline.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • 10+ years of experience in business leadership, operations, product management, analytics, or technology-enabled transformation.
  • Proven ownership of financial outcomes (revenue growth, cost reduction, margin expansion).
  • Experience prioritizing investments and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AI, advanced analytics, and modern digital platforms.

Preferred:
  • Experience deploying AI or analytics solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing external technology vendors.
  • Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or engineered product environments.
  • Experience operating within enterprise governance frameworks.
  • Deep technical model-building expertise is not required; the role requires strong AI fluency and business judgment.
