JOB DESCRIPTION
ART SUPERVISOR
Creative Department
Reports to: SVP, Creative Director, Art
 
Job Summary

An Art Supervisor is an expert in core function and successfully mentors other members of the art staff. They participate in shaping strategy, show strong conceptual abilities, and offer unique solutions to challenges. They are experts on their brands and fully understand the regulatory environment that these brands reside in. They are comfortable showcasing knowledge during client interactions and bringing out the imaginations of their team members. Supervisors are expected to play a role in maintaining overall team morale and provide adept support during new business pitches and internal initiatives while balancing day-to-day work. Additionally, the Art Supervisor embodies the Calcium+Company’s core values of commitment, integrity, and respect, both in their work and in their relationships with their co-workers and external clients.
 
Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
 
  • Works independently, under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projects
  • Articulates a clear direction to copy partners, direct reports, or junior staff
  • Possesses expert knowledge of the science to use it innovatively
  • Master’s nuances of the work and shows ability to think on feet. Produces a breadth of fresh, strategic, and persuasive concepts
  • Able to create using all forms of media (print, digital, etc) from conception to completion
  • Evaluates work without imposing own style, emphasizing overall team success
  • Ensures quality; able to approve work for client presentations
  • Provides feedback on timelines and job processes with an eye toward resourcing for the overall workload

 
Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)
 
  • 5+ years of industry/agency experience
  • Communication skills, including ability to present internally/externally
  • Experience building strong client relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills
