Job description

About the Role

This role will help define and grow ShopMy's art ecosystem by bringing the industry's most influential tastemakers onto the platform. That includes artists, collectors, gallerists, curators, and other voices whose perspective, taste, and communities make them uniquely compelling creators.

Owning the art vertical end to end, this person will identify, recruit, onboard, and cultivate top talent. They will also develop strategic partnerships across the art world (including galleries, auction houses, fairs, museums, and other cultural institutions) to expand ShopMy's presence and create meaningful opportunities for creators, brands, shoppers, and the broader ecosystem.

What You'll Do
  • Own outreach across the art ecosystem: proactively pitching artists, gallerists, collectors, curators, directors, and other art-world figures to join ShopMy
  • Identify and source right-fit talent: focused on people whose taste translates into commerce
  • Activate relationships we already have with artists and galleries on the platform and turn them into stronger, more visible participation
  • Develop art-world partnerships and events that drive onboarding and brand relevance, including editorially resonant moments and intimate industry gatherings
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Creator, and Brand teams to feature onboarded talent in a way that feels elevated, editorial, and commercially effective
What Sets You Up for Success
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, talent relations, gallery relations, or a related commercial role within the art world or adjacent cultural industries
  • Experience working with galleries, artists, collectors, art fairs, or art/media brands
  • Existing network across the contemporary art world, especially among socially active artists, gallerists, curators, and tastemakers
  • Proven track record of building relationships and turning a niche network into business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Passionate about taste-driven commerce, the creator economy, and the intersection of culture and marketing
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, ambiguity-rich environments
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Notion, or similar workflow systems
  • Experience working in a startup environment
  • NYC-based is a plus, but not required
