About the Role

  • Lookingfor an experienced and committed shuttle-driver/art-hander to join our organization and help execute routinely scheduled movements of valuable & fragile commodities
  • This position is critical to supporting the interoffice transfers of artworks and objects.With monthly long-distance hauls between our MA, NY, and CA offices, galleries, and warehouses - this is a full-time truck driver position, which also requiresproficiencyin relocation-moving, art-handling, and packing skillsets
  • This role will additionally perform some of our client/residential/estate collections
  • The nature of the roleseesthis position working alongside a co-driver while on the road, and as part of ourOperationsteams while docked at any of our given locations
  • The primary home of ourTransportation team is Marlborough, and as suchMAresidence is preferrable for this position


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Driveris tasked to perform continuous transportation operations, including monthly transfers betweenour NYC /MARlocations, and ourMAR/BOSlocations
  • Responsibilities when working alongside our Ops teamsinclude:truck loading/off-loading, item pulling/placing, barcoding/scanning, condition reporting, and soft packing
  • Client serviceexcellence;expected torepresentBonhams when working in the field and help build closer relations with our clients


In addition to the tasks and responsibilities listed, you maybe required to perform other duties as assigned by your line manager.


Key Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in long-haul trucking is mandatory
  • Ability to not only work well on your own, but alsoparticipatemeaningfully in team settings and alongside an assigned co-driver
  • Clean driving record with no history of major infractions or accidents; background checkrequired
  • ValidDriver'sLicense(no CDLrequired)
  • Experienced in operating/driving box trucks
  • Experienced in art handling / relocation moving / packing
  • Exceptional punctuality and reliability


Addition Desired Qualities

  • Experience working in a warehouse is a plus
