One of the main challenges in this role is balancing the need for rigorous documentation and preservation with public accessibility and the collection's strategic growth. Collaboration with curators, registrars, conservators, and sometimes donors or artists is frequent, making strong teamwork and adaptability essential. The role offers opportunities for career progression into senior collection management, curatorial leadership, or museum administration as experience grows.
