RNA interference, or RNAi, is a mechanism present in living cells that inhibits the expression of a specific gene, thereby affecting the production of a specific protein. The Position
The Facilities Coordinator I provides coordination and administrative support for the Verona GMP manufacturing site, assisting the Facilities team in maintaining safe, reliable, and compliant facility operations. This role supports preventive maintenance activities, vendor coordination, work order management, documentation, and small facility improvement projects. Working under the guidance of the Facilities Manager and senior facilities staff, the Facilities Coordinator I helps ensure facilities operations are organized, efficient, and audit-ready while developing knowledge of facilities systems, regulatory requirements, and project coordination.
Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to the Facilities Manager and Facilities team.
  • Coordinate routine vendor visits, service appointments, and contractor scheduling.
  • Assist with work order management and preventive maintenance scheduling within the CMMS.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation, and department files.
  • Support purchase order creation, invoice processing, and expense tracking.
  • Assist with tracking facility maintenance activities and small improvement projects.
  • Coordinate office moves, furniture requests, and general space planning activities.
  • Perform routine facility walkthroughs and report maintenance issues requiring attention.
  • Assist with contractor escorting and coordination during scheduled work.
  • Support physical security administration, including badge requests and access documentation.
  • Maintain departmental documentation, shared files, SOPs, and records to support compliance.
  • Assist with maintaining audit-ready documentation for FDA/cGMP and DEA-regulated operations.
  • Communicate with internal customers regarding maintenance requests and project status.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Associate degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in facilities coordination, office administration, operations support, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to learn facilities management software and CMMS applications.

Preferred
  • Experience in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Exposure to vendor coordination or project support.
  • Familiarity with FDA/cGMP documentation practices.

Wisconsin pay range
$45,000-$60,000 USD
