These skills and qualities are essential to ensure the safe and efficient use of training areas, prevent accidents, and maintain compliance with military standards.
An Army Range Control job involves overseeing the safe operation and management of military training ranges. Personnel in this role coordinate training exercises, enforce safety regulations, and ensure compliance with environmental policies. They also communicate with units using the range to prevent conflicts and hazards. Their work is essential for maintaining operational readiness and protecting personnel and equipment.
Army Range Control professionals are responsible for scheduling and coordinating unit training exercises, ensuring strict adherence to range safety protocols, and overseeing all activities on the training ranges. The role often involves issuing permits, conducting safety briefings, monitoring live-fire exercises, and responding to emergencies as needed. Team members regularly collaborate with training units, maintenance staff, and higher command to ensure all operations run smoothly and safely. This dynamic environment requires adaptability and a strong commitment to operational safety.
