Saalex Corporation is seeking multiple Network Control Technician III in Tidewater, VA and San Diego, CA. Saalex Corp., is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services. Position Type: Contingent on Contract Award.

Salary: $70k-$120k (depending on experience)

The Network Control Technician III supports the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network by monitoring, operating, and maintaining network control center (NOC) operations across global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. This role ensures continuous network availability, incident response, and operational performance in a 24/7 environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead network monitoring and control activities within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. 
  • Analyze and resolve complex network incidents, outages, and performance degradations. 
  • Coordinate incident response and escalation with engineering and cybersecurity teams. 
  • Maintain situational awareness of enterprise network status across distributed environments. 
  • Support implementation of network changes, maintenance windows, and operational procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and operational standards. 
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior technicians. 
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

  • 5-7 years of experience in network operations, NOC support, or related field. 
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network issues. 
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching). 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Security+). 

Desired:

  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy NOC operations. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios). 
  • Experience with incident management and ticketing systems. 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment including shift work.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
