They are typically employed by private security companies, businesses, or individuals to deter crime, respond to threats, and handle emergency situations that may require the use of force. Their duties may include patrolling areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access to restricted locations, and intervening in incidents when necessary. To become an armed security guard, individuals must usually complete specialized training, pass background checks, and obtain the appropriate state licenses or certifications. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, good judgment, and the ability to handle potentially dangerous situations.
