Overview


We are seeking an Armed Security Specialist II to become an integral part of our team. In this position, you will be tasked to provide physical security, physical security inspections and entry access control at designated locations.

Responsibilities


  • Perform internal guard services to include but not limited to, vehicle and personnel entry control points, internal roving patrols and armed escort guard services;
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, residents, employees and contractors in the communities and facilities we serve;
  • Provide roving mobile patrol services within designated areas;
  • Provide screening services of vehicles and personnel at entry control points;
  • Protect equipment and personnel;
  • Maintain weapons qualification on assigned weapon systems;
  • Maintain proficiency with Non-Lethal Weapons;
  • Perform internal security guard services, at any potential internal security posting, for up to 12 hours, often in austere conditions to include extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain or snow;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • US Citizen
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License
  • Must have a minimum of five years verifiable experience in U.S. Military, corrections, security and/or Law Enforcement.
  • Must have completed Texas Private Security Level III Training course within previous 30 days or ability to complete course at own expense prior to appointment
  • Must have clean criminal history and able to pass a pre-employment background investigation
  • MUST have active or ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance up to SECRET
  • Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable)
  • Employment with SENTRYSIX is contingent upon a favorable background investigation
  • Able to don all required personal protective gear.
  • Qualify and maintain proficiency with all assigned weapons.
