Position Type: Part Time / Overnight Shift

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to enforce site rules regarding entry, identification, restricted areas, and/or authorized movement of people, vehicles, and materials.
  • Support emergency operations by assisting with alarms, evacuations, medical calls, and/or other time-sensitive events in accordance with post orders and local procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
