Program Overview
This position supports a U.S. Government aviation training and sustainment program providing rotary-wing maintenance, armament, and technical instruction support for AH-6/MH-6 aircraft operations. The role operates in accordance with U.S. military technical directives, program maintenance standards, and training requirements in an overseas (OCONUS) operational environment.
Position Summary
The AH-6/MH-6 Armament & Maintenance Instructor provides subject matter expertise in aircraft armament systems, maintenance practices, and technical instruction. This role delivers classroom and hands-on instruction, evaluates student proficiency, and supports aircraft sustainment activities to ensure safe, effective, and mission-ready operations. The position combines instructional duties with technical advisory responsibilities on AH-6/MH-6 platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide formal and informal instruction in aircraft armament systems and maintenance procedures
- Conduct academic and hands-on technical training on AH-6/MH-6 aircraft systems
- Evaluate student performance and certify task proficiency in accordance with program training standards
- Provide technical guidance on armament integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices
- Support inspection, servicing, and organizational-level maintenance tasks as required
- Assist in development and refinement of training materials, lesson plans, and technical documentation
- Ensure adherence to U.S. military maintenance procedures, technical manuals, and safety standards
- Identify and communicate aircraft maintenance and support requirements to program leadership
- Support aircraft readiness and sustainment operations in an OCONUS environment
- Maintain accurate training and maintenance documentation
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum ten (10) years of military aviation experience in armament and/or aircraft maintenance/avionics
- Experience working directly on AH-6 and/or MH-6 aircraft or adjacent airframe.
- Minimum 1–2 years of instructional, trainer, evaluator, or related technical leadership experience

- Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
- Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.
Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.
Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills
Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
