Role Overview

We are seeking qualified and eager new or recent graduates to join our Physical Sciences and Systems group in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The role involves designing, analyzing, and prototyping innovative multi‑domain system architectures, focusing on embedded software generation and testing with C++, C, and Linux.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sophisticated detection, classification, localization, and tracking (DCLT) algorithms against state‑of‑the‑art threats in high‑noise environments.
  • Design and implement complex software to optimize sensor system performance.
  • Design and implement software for the guidance and control of autonomous vehicles.
  • Support real‑time evaluation of designs in realistic mission scenarios and operational analysis.
  • Optimize algorithm designs for highest performance.
Qualifications (Must Have)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a Master’s degree in the same disciplines.
  • Typically 2 years of relevant professional work experience, or a Master’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret), requiring U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience in software design, simulation, analysis, and implementation.
  • Background programming in C++ (or other modern object‑oriented language) within a Linux development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Familiarity with Linux development tools such as Git, Valgrind, and GDB.
  • Exposure to development libraries like Google FlatBuffers, Armadillo, and REST API.
  • Experience with multithreaded applications, inter‑process communication, and resource sharing.
  • Exposure to working with systems that have real‑time processing requirements.
Work Location

Onsite – Cambridge, MA. This role requires working primarily at the office.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
