💰 Pay Range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually (exempt) *


Arlon EMD is seeking an Employee Relations & Training Manager to lead employee relations, workplace investigations, performance and corrective-action support, policy administration, and training and development for our Rancho Cucamonga manufacturing operation.


This role serves as a key resource to managers and employees on workplace expectations, employee concerns, performance management, policy interpretation, and California employment practices. The Employee Relations & Training Manager also owns the coordination and administration of Arlon's employee and manager training programs, including compliance training, leadership development, onboarding-related training, and ongoing workforce development.


This position works closely with HR leadership, department managers, Safety, Operations, and other business functions to promote a consistent, respectful, compliant, and high-performing workplace.


What You'll Do


🤝 Employee Relations

- Serve as a primary HR resource for employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, conflicts, performance issues, attendance, conduct, and policy interpretation

- Partner with and coach managers on communication, documentation, performance management, and corrective action

- Review corrective-action documentation for consistency and alignment with Company practices

- Identify recurring employee relations issues and recommend preventive actions or policy changes


🔍 Workplace Investigations

- Conduct and/or coordinate prompt, impartial, and thorough investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, threats, insubordination, and policy violations

- Develop investigation plans, interview witnesses, evaluate evidence, and prepare findings

- Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel on matters involving significant employment risk


📋 Performance Management & Corrective Action

- Support managers in addressing performance, attendance, conduct, and workplace behavior issues

- Review performance improvement plans, warnings, and related documentation

- Participate in termination and other sensitive employment discussions as needed


🎓 Training & Development

- Lead development, coordination, and administration of Arlon's employee and manager training programs

- Build an annual training calendar based on compliance requirements and business needs

- Develop and facilitate manager training (performance management, documentation, conflict, harassment/retaliation prevention, attendance, and more)

- Track training completion and maintain accurate records

- Partner with Safety and Operations on new-hire and production-related training


📝 Policy, Compliance & Reporting

- Support maintenance of the California Employee Handbook and related HR procedures

- Monitor employment-practice developments and partner with HR leadership and legal counsel on policy updates

- Maintain employee relations and training metrics and prepare periodic reports for HR leadership


🎯 Qualifications


Required

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with significant employee relations responsibility

- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations

- Experience advising managers on performance and corrective-action matters

- Experience developing, coordinating, or facilitating employee and manager training

- Strong knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance

- Strong written documentation and interpersonal communication skills


Preferred

- HR experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment

- California employee relations experience strongly preferred

- Experience with ADP or comparable HRIS/LMS platform

- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification

- Workplace investigation training or certification

This position works in both office and manufacturing environments, with regular interaction with employees across departments and shifts. Requires the ability to work at a computer for extended periods, move throughout office and manufacturing areas, and occasionally lift or carry training materials.
